Each category has 3 places, ribbons and Springs Farmer's Market Gift Certificates, $15 for first, $10 for second and $5 for third,

Contest Rules:

The first and most important rule is to be patient with us. This is our eighth year running an agricultural fair and we admittedly still do not know what we are doing. The goal is to have fun.

Baking Contests 8/23 - All baking categories will be divided into 2 groups, 15 and under, and 16 and over. All entries must be submitted at Ashawagh Hall between 8AM and 9AM, Saturday, August 6. No entries will be accepted after 9AM. For each category, please submit the following: 1 whole pie, 6 muffins, 6 cookies, 1/2 cake, 1 loaf of bread, Ribbons will be awarded at 10AM. One entry per person per category. Each entry will have a fee of $5.

Growing Contests - No age groups in these contests. All entries must be received between 8AM and 9AM at Ashawagh Hall. One entry per person per category, Each entry will have a fee of $5. The largest items will be determined by the weight of the item. The best bouquet will be subjectively determined by our judges based on their own idea of beauty. Please don't be offended if it doesn't coincide with yours.

Contests at the fair 8/23-

Prettiest Chicken - Registration at 8-9. One entry per person, Bring chicken in individual carrier. $5 entry. Prettiest chicken will be voted on by all fair attendees and named at 12PM
10AM - Announcement of Baking and Farming Winners
11 AM - Games: Egg toss, Potato Sack race, Bubble blowing contest - no entry fee
12 Noon - Best Dog Trick-Registration at 10:30. One entry per person, Dogs must be leashed when not performing.
World Famous Springs Chicken Drop: 9:30, 10:30, 11:30. Proceeds will benefit the Springs Food Pantry, the Springs Library, and Ashawagh Hall .
